"AMAZING!!!! I recommend practically everything! Amazing service, friendly people, reasonable prices, and they treat you like family. I only wish I could give more stars. I give Monellos the highest rating, best restaurant I've been to in 20, I go at least every week, sometimes more. Tell them you know Mr. Woods, and they will make you anything you want. You want duck? Okay. Chicken nuggets? Okay. Fruit loops? Caviar? Skinned grapes? You got it. This is a MUST GO TO RESTAURANT!!!"

"We had been going to cafe Azzuro (1/8 mile down the road) for years because of atmosphere, wait staff and excellent food. Their own success, however, has diminished the experience with food quality and wait staff attitude suffering. We tried Il Monello and loved it. Wait staff is friendly and the authentic Italian dishes are well prepared, hot and flavorful. Our family especially like their pasta dishes. For us, a big plus is that you won't be elbow to elbow when you're trying to enjoy your meal. This is a BYOB restaurant."

"I moved out of NJ for 6 years and was surprised I couldn't find an Italian restaurant in the area that I felt truly deserved a Five Star rating. Il Monello easily achieves that and is not only the best Italian Restaurant in the area, but one of the best Restaurants period.__The food is outstanding starting with the fresh cheese cut from a gigantic wheel and salami complementary served with the bread and olive oil marinated zucchini. In addition to the plentiful items on the menu ranging from traditional red sauce Southern Italian favorites to Northern Italian seafood and meat dishes, there is usually a long list of specials which give you many reasons to return. To end the meal there are delicious desserts and coffees.__But I have to give a special nod to the customer service and overall friendliness and attentive nature of the staff. They truly make you feel welcome and a valued customer. Also note this is a BYOB establishment so you can save money on the liquor bill by bringing your favorite Italian or even non Italian wines!"
